November 2012
Fall is in the air here on Hollywood Hill! After a dry and sunny late summer, rain is falling again. The leaves are changing color in the vineyard and starting to fall off the vines. It's very pretty this time of year! We were able to harvest a bit of the Pinot Noir from the Estate vineyard this year and it should be for sale in 2014 (I know, making wine takes sooo long!). Just in time for the Holidays, we have three new wines to release and I think you'll find something to like in all three of them. Be sure to stock up share with friends and family this season.

2010 Red Mountain Malbec
Yes, you read that right! We made another Malbec, and this time from Red Mountain. Specifically the grapes are from Heart of the Hill Vineyard - the same wonderful site as our Red Mountain Mourvedre. 2010 wasn't the warmest year on record. In fact it was actually quite chilly compared to previous years. But because Malbec is an early ripening grape, and the fact that it was grown on Red Mountain, the grapes gave us a bold and earthy wine with an intense, full bodied mouth feel. The 2010 Malbec is characterized by its deeply-hued inky red color. The flavors are very lush and full of ripe juicy berries and plums. Herbs, spice, licorice and violets are all present on the palate. I just know you will enjoy it and it should age for many years! Just 75 cases made - $34/$28.90 club
2011 Yakima Valley Marsanne
This is our first vintage of Marsanne - a lovely varietal from the south of France. SinceMarsanne on it's own can be quite neutral, we brought in a little Rousanne to flesh it out a bit - 75% Marsanne/ 25% Rousanne. The aromas are classic - pineapple, fresh herbs, and honey. With the cooler 2011 summer, the wine has great acidity, leading to noticeable balance and grip on the finish. Great with holiday meals! Just 200 cases made - $19/$16.15 club
2010 Columbia Valley Aperture
We are proud to release another vintage of Aperture. Our loyal

club member and great artist, David Shadle (www.kerchlink.com) was gracious enough to work with us on this new label! I was going after another photography-inspired theme and David did a fantastic job capturing the vintage Polaroid film and product colors. Inside the bottle you'll find a fruity wine that is mostly Cabernet Franc, with a few other varietals blended in. A delicious easy-drinking wine for the holidays. Just 100 cases made - $22/$18.70 club
We look forward to seeing you on the 10th!
